Chain 4 and skip the next 3 stitches. Repeat this pattern 5 more times around: work 7 treble stitches with a popcorn, chain 4, skip 3 stitches. Slip stitch to the first popcorn to join. Fasten off Color B.
Round 6: Join Color A to the first skipped single crochet stitch from the previous round. Chain 3. Keep the popcorn stitches in front of your work and the chain 4 stitches behind your work. Double crochet in the next 2 skipped single crochet stitches. Chain 1 and skip over the popcorn stitch. Double crochet in the next 3 skipped single crochet stitches. Repeat this pattern 5 more times around. Slip stitch to the top of the chain 3 to join.
Round 7: Chain 2. Single crochet in the next stitch and in every double crochet stitch and chain 1 space around. Slip stitch to the top of the chain 2 to join. You'll have 28 single crochets total.
Round 8: Chain 3. Double crochet in the next 2 stitches. Change to Color C. Yarn over, insert your hook into the 4th treble of the popcorn made in Round 5, and also insert your hook into the next single crochet stitch from Round 7. Complete a double crochet stitch going through both stitches. Change back to Color A. Double crochet in the next 3 stitches.
